A group of colleagues and friends of Professor Alfonso Casal are organizing an International Conference in his honor to commemorate his 70th birthday.

The title of the Conference refers to Professor Casal’s work in mathematics, coupled with his ongoing collaborations with people from other disciplines, at the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

The Conference will take place at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, on the 14th and 15th of July, 2014.

In order to allow participants to build a warm atmosphere and get the most out of the Conference, there will not be parallel sessions, so that all participants can attend all the talks. The number of invited speakers in the program will be limited and their subjects will cover aspects of the fields Alfonso Casal has contributed to developing throughout his professional career.

A poster session will also be available at the Conference for all participants.

Aside from the talks and the poster session, all participants in the Conference are welcome to present written communications. A special issue of the Electronic Journal of Differential Equations (ISSN: 1072-6691), containing the works presented at the Conference will be edited shortly after its conclusion.
